-
Karen recently celebrated her third anniversary with Revolution and loves coming to work. She says it is a “high point” of her week. Karen loves the creativity and community she experiences with Revolution.
Originally from Brooklyn, NY; Karen has lived in Pennsylvania since 1974 and in Lancaster for the past five years. She considers herself a city-girl at heart and takes time to enjoy all that our community has to offer.
A survivor and overcomer of homelessness, Karen feels strongly about the way Revolution supports and encourages women. She believes that the only way to fail is not to try and knows that it is important for everyone to find their voice and use it.
“People are precious, people are important and people should never allow themselves to be made second class by anyone or anything”
is one of the foundations Karen lives by. An optimist, she always sees the glass as half-full and strongly believes that a smile, kind word and encouragement go far.
How has Revolution impacted your life?
Revolution has brought fulfillment to my life. I love creating the beautiful pieces and learning new skills. It gives me a lot of pride to go into a store, see something I created; and be able to say, ‘that's me.’ A job well done.
